Hi, I'm Heather. 
I started Better Dental Consulting with the desire to see dentists spend more time with their patients doing the dentistry they love and less time worrying about the details of launching systems, implementing, and sustaining them. With more than 30 years of hands-on experience in the dental industry, I bring a unique perspective that comes from working in nearly every role within a dental practice. I have dedicated my career to helping dental practices succeed by building strong teams, creating efficient systems, and delivering exceptional patient experiences. Throughout my career, I have served as a Certified Dental Assistant, Front Desk Receptionist, Treatment Coordinator, Dental Radiation Technologist, and Office Manager. I've worked with both insurance-participating and fee-for-service private practices, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the operational, financial, and patient care challenges that practices face every day. One of the qualities that has defined my career is my owner mentality. Every practice I've been privileged to work with has been treated as if it were my own. I believe that when leaders invest in their teams, create accountability, and build efficient processes, everyone benefits—from the doctors and staff to the patients they serve. Dentistry has never been just a job for me—it's my passion.
